MathIn math we have been doing colouring math sheets to help us practice our multiplication, decimals, and fractions skills. We have to solve different math questions, and color the question according to a legend. We drew lions and deserts, so far. HumanitiesThis week in humanities, we have been researching about different countries. We used technology and our responsible, digital citizenship skills. We have each had our own booklet with questions to answer. We will be presenting our research on posters, and will be making our posters next week. Year-End Project |

Bowling Field TripThis week, two brothers who own comic book company (Anthony and Justin Stanberry) came to our school to tell us about how to draw. | Comic Book Artists - Freeze DNAOur class had a lot of fun, bowling with all of the other grade four students. They taught us how to draw some faces and emojis. |
Last Friday, we planted our bean seeds, and some of them have started to grow. We have been expressing what we already know about plant needs and have taken a look at a plant's life cycle and structure. A great way to understand human interactions with plants is to look at how humans care for plants in their community and observe places where plants are used in their daily living. While on our walks to and from our swimming field trip this week, we observed people planting in the community garden and city workers watering trees along the roads. We have also been appreciating plants in our food (grains and veggies), our learning tools (pencils and paper), and living spaces (homes and school). |
